The Municipal Officials Ethics Commission is governed by Parkville Municipal Code Chapter 107 and has the power and duty to render advisory opinions to the Board of Aldermen in all ethics complaints. It consists of five members who serve staggered, five-year terms. The Mayor appoints a member who serves as the Chairperson. The four remaining members are appointed by the Board of Aldermen and represent one of each of the four wards. The Commission meets when a complaint is filed with the City.
November 17, 2021 – The Ethics Commission has two vacancies – one for a Ward 1 representative through May 2023 and one for a Ward 4 representative through May 2024. The Board of Aldermen is seeking applicants to fill the two vacancies. If you are interested in serving, complete an application at http://parkvillemo.gov/boards-commissions/apply-today/.
