The City of Parkville is pleased to announce that the 2015 Annual Report is now available. The 2015 Annual Report includes a summary of major accomplishments and statistics by department to help illustrate how staff time and taxpayer resources were spent over the calendar year. The report also includes a financial summary of revenues and expenses categorized by major governmental funds. City Administrator Lauren Palmer said “some of 2015’s major accomplishments include refunding the 2006 Certificates of Participation, which reduced the City’s debt by over $2 million; completion of the Route 9 Corridor Study; improvements to code enforcement; and infrastructure maintenance to streets, curbs, and sewers. I encourage you to look though the report to see what else Parkville accomplished over the past year.”
Other 2015 highlights include the successful creation of the 2016 City Budget and 2016-2021 Capital Improvements Program, implementation of the 2015 Street Maintenance Program, a redesign of parkvillemo.gov, creation of certified 5K and 10K race courses through the riverfront parks, and continued commercial and residential development.
Palmer also stated, “I appreciate the tremendous hard work of our staff, volunteers, and elected officials throughout 2015. Parkville is a small community with big ambitions.”
