This past year the City of Parkville commissioned Nolde & Associates, an arborist consulting firm, to evaluate and inventory the current condition of trees located in English Landing Park. The results of this tree assessment have provided valuable data and information that is needed to complete an Urban Forest Management Plan.
The final phase of the tree inventory was made possible with the support of the Missouri Department of Conservation’s Tree Resource Improvement and Maintenance (T.R.I.M) Grant. The T.R.I.M Grant’s purpose is to provide financial assistance for the management, improvement, and conservation of the urban and community forest.
Parkville, a Tree City USA for 24 straight years, was awarded the T.R.I.M. Grant last fall and greatly appreciates the support of the Missouri Department of Conservation, which helped to make this project possible.
