The City of Parkville is pleased to announce that it received two awards from the Missouri Chapter of the American Planning Association (APA), one for the Parkville 2040 Master Plan and one for the Northwest Bell Road Complete Streets Proposal. The awards were presented on October 6 to the design teams who assisted with both plans.
Each year, the Missouri Chapter of APA receives dozens of applications from around the state that exemplify great planning, best practices, state-of-the-art planning methods and advance the science and art in planning, demonstrate significant achievements and long-term, measurable results and ongoing implementation efforts. The City received awards in the following categories:
- Outstanding Plan: Parkville 2040 Master Plan; and
- Outstanding Student Project: NW Bell Road Complete Streets Proposal.
The awards were formally presented at APA Missouri’s 2022 State Planning Conference to the design teams from Confluence, for the Parkville 2040 Master Plan, and the University of Missouri-Kansas City’s Urban Planning Design Studio IV class, for the NW Bell Road Complete Streets Proposal.
