The Community Land and Recreation Board acts in an advisory capacity to the Board of Aldermen to develop and administer a written plan for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal, or disposition of trees and shrubs along streets and in other public areas. Meetings are held the second Wednesday each month at 5:30 p.m.

The Board of Zoning Adjustment is an eight-member board that acts on appeals of decisions made in the enforcement of the zoning code; variances that would not be contrary to public interests and when lateral enforcement of the code would result in unnecessary hardship; special exceptions; and other considerations authorized by the Board of Aldermen through ordinances. Five regular members serve five-year terms and three alternates serve without term limits in absence, abstention or disqualification of a regular member. Meetings are scheduled the fourth Tuesday each month at 5:30 p.m. and are cancelled if no business is to be conducted.

The Industrial Development Authority is a seven-member board that promotes and coordinates with industry, labor, trade associations and governmental agencies relating to the promotion of trade, industrial and business development and industrial parks; educates the general public by providing information otherwise relating to the same; conducts studies and investigations relating to the establishment of industrial parks and ports, improves trade and industrial and business development; and promotes and solicits industrial and economic development projects as authorized by RSMo 349.010. An annual meeting is held every April and other meetings are scheduled as-needed through the Parkville Economic Development Council.
