In August 2021, the Park Hill School District (PHSD) purchased approximately 29 acres of land at the southwest corner of NW Brink-Meyer Road and Creekside Drive, with plans to use the property for a future elementary school. PHSD’s facilities team recently presented before the PHSD Board of Education and received a final recommendation to proceed with the submittal of formal development plans to the City. On June 9, 2023, the City received formal submission of an Application for Preliminary Development Plan and an Application for Subdivision – Final Plat for Park Hill Elementary School No. 12. While a public hearing is scheduled for the July 11th (5:30 p.m.) meeting of the Planning and Zoning Commission, due to the size, scale, impact and significance of the new school, City staff and the Planning and Zoning Commission will first hold an informational work session on
Monday, June 26th (5:30 p.m.) in the Board Room at Parkville City Hall
to receive a presentation of the proposal from the PHSD facilities team. All members of the public are welcome to attend.
The formal public hearing will not be held until July 11th.
