 ded ages 8+\n\nDo you have an interest in birdwatching\, but you’re not 
 always sure what exactly you’re looking at? Join MDC staff at Platte Lan
 ding Park (in Parkville) for a guided birding hike. We will meet at 8:30 a
 m and walk the trails to identify and document birds we see. Total expecte
 d distance will be around 2.5 miles. Helpful items to bring include binocu
 lars between 7-12x magnification\, spotting scopes\, paper checklist or eB
 ird app\, and a field guide or Merlin Bird ID app. Dress for the weather a
 s we will be outside for the entirety of the program. Participants should 
 park in the parking lot near the dog park. Look for the MDC truck\; we’l
