The Parkville Livable Community Study report is the result of a year-long study of how to promote efficient transportation, enhance safety, protect the environment and support economic vitality in downtown Parkville. The study was prepared by Kansas City based TranSystems with support from Ochsner Hare & Hare, Susan Richards Johnson & Associates, Inc. and Vireo. The study addresses key issues and community concerns identified and prioritized through broad community input ranging from stakeholder interviews to online-forums. Recommendations include street, sidewalk, trail, parking, circulation, speed, railroad and open space enhancements among other recommendations.
