Parkville Missouri

Parks & Recreation Department

The Parks & Recreation Department also oversees the Parkville Nature Sanctuary. The director has an office at City Hall. The parks crew is located at 9001 McAfee and office hours are Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. They maintain the grounds, landscaping, shelters, restrooms and amenities, including baseball and soccer fields, volleyball and basketball courts, a playground and dog parks. The City adopted the 2016 Parks Master Plan Update to re-examine the community’s priorities for the riverfront parks to develop a strategy to guide park development over the next 10 to 15 years.

The Parkville Nature Sanctuary is a wildlife preserve and educational site developed and maintained by the City with the help of a group of extraordinary volunteers. The director has an office at City Hall.

Please contact City Hall at (816) 741-7676 if you have lost any items (ie: phone, keys, clothing, etc.) at one of our parks. All lost and found items are collected and held at the front desk of City Hall.
