Gateway Park is located on Route 9 at 62nd Street and will be the City’s newest park when completed. The land was donated by Kevin and Sandra Green to the City in 2005 by to be used as park land.
The vision is to create a resting spot and trail head for the new sidewalks and walking trails along Route 9. The City received a $34,000 Platte County Outreach Grant to help fund the park. When completed, it will include a drinking fountain with ADA drinking arm and water bottle filling station, seating, bicycle rack and fix-it station, landscaping and lighting.
