Parkville Missouri

Farmers Market Project

The Parkville Farmers Market is located downtown, south of the railroad tracks. In spring 2022, a box truck ran into the southeast side of the structure and three sections had to be removed. In June 2022, a tractor trailer ran into the north side of the building, which caused extensive damage and the entire structure was torn down. Although the structure had existed in its current location for over 35 years, it was hit twice in a period 45 days.

The City has taken on the challenge of building a new farmers market structure. BBN Architects was hired to provide design services for the new building and worked with Confluence on the community engagement. BBN Architects is finalizing the final design and preparing the construction documents to bid the project. This page will be updated throughout the improvement project.
