The City and consultants are working on designing improvements for Highway 9 downtown (from 4th Street south to Park University Entrance and downtown triangle along 1st Street to Mill Street and west to Crooked Road). The goals are to enhance pedestrian access and safety, enhance the business environment, and improve traffic flow into and through downtown. The project is currently in its concept design phase and we are seeking the community’s help in identifying the strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for improving connectivity and mobility within the study area.
Draft concepts were presented to the public on March 10. Share your feedback on the concepts through the Route 9 Downtown Improvements Project Page by clicking on Concept Survey. The video and presentation from the meeting are also available on the project page.
