The City of Parkville recognizes and values the direct support of the community.
Parks
Parkville parks are privileged to receive support from citizens who donate regularly to help ensure the park system continues to thrive and provide improved quality of life for residents and visitors alike. Options for donations include, but are not limited to, trees, picnic tables, public art and other appropriate parkland amenities and accessories. Parks donations are used solely in the parks.
Parkville Nature Sanctuary
The Parkville Nature Sanctuary is a wildlife preserve and educational site developed and maintained the City of Parkville with the help of a group of extraordinary volunteers. All donations to the Parkville Nature Sanctuary are used solely for the Parkville Nature Sanctuary and Sullivan Nature Sanctuary.
Police Community Assistance Fund
The Police Community Assistance Fund is designed to provide assistance to citizens when a need is identified throughout the year. The Fund helps promote community relations between the Parkville Police Department and the citizens of Parkville, provide assistance to citizens at a time of need, fund “Shop with a Cop” that provides gifts to kids and families in need during the Christmas season, and allow department members and other citizen volunteers an opportunity to give back to the community. All donations made to the Police Community Assistance Fund are given back to the community.
Veteran’s Memorial
The Veteran’s Memorial will be located in English Landing Park in the current site of Ball Field #1. The goal is for it to be a landmark where Patriots and families can gather, reflect and pay homage to our heroes, both past and present. The effort to develop a Veteran’s Memorial is being led by the Veteran’s Memorial Committee made up of members of veterans’ service organizations and other community members. Donations will help fund all aspects of the memorial.
