Public Works
Right-of-way permits are required by Parkville Municipal Code Chapter 515 (external link) when anyone is proposing to use or work within the City’s right-of-way before any work is started. All right-of-way users are strongly encouraged to contact adjacent property owners and homeowners’ associations to communicate and discuss changes near or on their respective property.

A Dumpster Permit is required when any person(s) is placing a dumpster within the City’s right-of-way. The dumpster is required to have all the proper protection and must follow traffic control standards. They are permitted for a maximum of 15 days.

Public improvement permits are required for privately-funded public improvements built by land developers that will ultimately be maintained by the City. These generally include streets, storm sewers, and streetlights.

Land disturbance activities include clearing, grubbing, excavating, grading, filling and other activities that result in the destruction of the root zone and/or land disturbance activity.
